Why Republic Day celebrated in India?

We celebrate Republic day on every 26th January since 1960 to praise the date on which our Constitution of India came into existence.

India was a part of the colonial government for 200 years not a short period of slavery and yes, after 200 years India got independence from the British government after the Independent Movement on 14th August 1947, but India does not have its laws, rule, and regulation till 1950. India is following the extended version of the British government established the Government of Act 1935.

However, after this theme drafting committee appointed on 29th August 1947, for drafting the permanent Indian Constitution whose Chairman was Dr.B R Ambedkar.

After a lot of hardships, the constitution finally drafted on 26th January and named the day of Republic Day of India, and from this, India becomes the Sovereign Republic.
